Welcome to Atlas 62!

Having suffered a life-changing event in 2022, I have made it my mission in life to be self-reliant and prepared for any crisis or event that may change my current environment. In October 2022, I almost lost my leg due to an infection caused by a routine procedure. As a result I spent the next several months up to the present day, recovering from the trauma. I am happy to report I did NOT lose my leg but the experience did change my outlook and perspective on things. Thus, Atlas 62 was born!

Why Atlas 62?

Atlas 62 is a result of my past experiences, trials, and seasons of struggle culminated into a Training Academy for the everyday responsible citizen. Previously I said that it was born and that was by design. Similar to preparedness and planning your environment and situation changes or your plan needs to develop as you go. So you have to adapt and overcome these changes. Atlas 62 is no different and has to continually adapt to new technologies, new crisis' (COVID), and content students need to develop their Preparedness Blueprint and Plan.

The name Atlas is representative of the Titan 'Atlas' who was forced to support the world on his shoulders by Zeus. The name represents strength and endurance. The '62' represents 'The Homestead Act of 1862' which Congress passed to encourage homesteading and self-reliance. It was also meant to spur economic growth and to settle the American West.

What can you expect from us moving forward?

Atlas 62 is dedicated to providing a service that will allow the responsible citizen to continually develop their skills and preparedness planning. To accomplish this we are working hard to research, develop, and create programs & products that will enhance our students dependability. Part of that mission involves communicating to the A62 Tribe on topics, relevent events, and information. This blog is meant to be one of the tools we have to do just that!
