About the Course
The Homestead Act of 1862 was enacted by the government (Lincoln) to enable people to become more resilient and settle the west. It granted 160 acres free to settlers willing to move to the West and settle. Early settlers had to learn how to survive, sometimes in very harsh conditions. Since then spirit of preparedness has grown and evolved and set to repeat itself again based on today's current social and political climates.
Preparedness applies to many different people in many ways. College students, families, single adults, etc. not just the family unit. It’s based on where you live…home, apartment, condo, college dorm. In this course you will learn that preparedness is about developing your own blueprint and culture for safety. Daron will share with you concepts and strategies that will help you build your own personal blueprint. Including providing you tons of downloadable supplements to help guide you on your journey.
This course will help answer & address common questions asked like:
1. What are the resources needed?
2. Where do you begin?
3. How do we expand our capabilities in each of the areas?
4. How do you make connections locally to potentially barter with?
5. How to mobilize yourself safely, efficiently, accurately and quickly as a family or individual.
6. It is not just about tactical preparedness and learning how to shoot. It's also about basic survival skills and advanced planning.

Daron Kettler
Daron's experience in self-reliance and learning to be resilient stems back over 30 years starting with the military where he received specialized training which has since progressed over the years. He has served in various positions including volunteering at the sheriff's department, search and rescue, and currently works with individuals to develop their own Self-Reliance Blueprint on preparedness. He is an expert in leadership, crisis management, and personal preparedness.
Daron is currently pursuing his master's degree in Homeland Security & Emergency Crisis management. He continuously develops his skills as an instructor through continued education and skills development with such organizations as the NRA, USSCA, and other organizations who are leaders in their fields. Daron is constantly searching for more knowledge and experience to pass on to his students.
As an instructor, he is Driven on developing each student’s abilities and levels of preparedness. Helping them to integrate safe, responsible, and proficient personal protection along with self-resiliency strategies into their “Daily Life”.
